How long do dermal fillers last?

We all want to look our best and dento-facial aesthetics are a great non-surgical option to help you subtly rejuvenate your appearance. Dermal fillers are super versatile and can be used to enhance the chin, jawline, add volume to the cheeks and lips and work to eradicate marionette lines, without having surgery.

As we get older our skin produces less hyaluronic acid and our skin starts to sag and we get more fine lines and wrinkles. At The Practice our dentists administer hyaluronic acid (HA) into the dermis of the skin to fill these lines and wrinkles and increase plumpness for a more youthful appearance.

Studies show that dermal fillers are safe, as long as they are administered by an experienced professional, in a clean and sterile environment like our state-of-the-art West End dental clinic, West Village, South Brisbane.

Some of the benefits of dermal fillers include:

Immediate results and no recovery time

With dermal fillers you will see results as soon as you walk out of our practice. There will be an immediate change to your appearance and no recovery time.

A more youthful appearance

The HA injected into the dermis of your skin helps to stimulate more collagen growth (for a more youthful appearance) and also hydrates the skin.

Naturally found in your body

HA is already found in your body, so is absorbed back into the body as it would naturally.

Improved smile

We smile with our whole face, so dermal fillers are very effective in complementing other dental treatments to improve your smile and add volume to your cheeks, lips and chin.

How long do dermal fillers last?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions we hear at The Practice. If you’re receiving treatment like this it’s natural to want to know how long until you’ll need to do it again.

Dermal fillers definitely aren’t permanent, and how long they will last will depend on the individual. How long dermal fillers will last depends upon your individual skin type, what area is being treated, the skin’s texture and of course your lifestyle.

Generally, dermal fillers last between approximately 6 to 12 months. Top up treatments will extend the life of your dermal fillers.

Dermal fillers at The Practice, West End

At The Practice we have years of experience administering dermal fillers to help people gain back the confidence. We stay up-to-date with all the latest techniques to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Before the treatment we’ll discuss your goals and what you want to achieve to ensure we get the best result for you as an individual.

After dermal fillers we recommend not touching your face for the next 24 hours and if you have any redness or swelling, speak with our friendly team before you leave our clinic and we’ll help you ice the area.
